Category Marketing / Growth Head

- Seeking a creative, analytical, and highly motivated Category Marketing/Growth Head to develop, execute, and evaluate merchandising, marketing, and site experience.


- This role will drive invention and improvements in the overall look, feel, and navigation of the site, provide guidance to the development of the categorys editorial content, style guidelines, and merchandising calendar, create marketing programs to acquire new customers, and develop innovations in customer experience.


- It will drive the core tone and framework for the new initiatives launched by the team and will be responsible for the look, feel and visibility of the programs under this team. This role requires a strong aesthetics in design framework along with in depth understanding of marketing tools to build and support the business growth

- The ideal candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically, be an innovative leader who is data driven, an effective communicator, capable of handling multiple projects at once, thrives in a rapidly-changing environment, and has strong communication and people management skills.

Roles & Responsibilities :


- Own projects with considerable scope and/or complexity with significant impact on customer experience, engagement and business.


- Own all key traffic drivers for the category, and work as a category advocate with central traffic teams Possess a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Search, Affiliates, Email, SEO etc.) and actively engaging in optimization of those channels for the business.


- Understanding of design and ability to translate business tone and format into a visual space. Work with cross functional teams and internal teams, including technology teams, to define, drive, and launch improvements to the shopping experience.


- Own creation of marketing programs, and multiple key traffic drivers, to acquire new customers. Conceptualize, design and execute online and offline marketing initiatives to extend awareness of our products.


- Develop, test, and execute aggressive multi-channel marketing plans to drive customer acquisition and authority


- Conduct in-depth analyses to determine program effectiveness and to continuously improving programs and site initiatives


- Develop the category's editorial direction, style guidelines, merchandising calendar, promotions, and coop packages.


- Understand and use merchandising and customer-facing metrics to guide decision making. Present to senior management externally and internally Meet business goals while ensuring a top-notch customer experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :


- Proven track record of thinking customer backwards.

- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.

- Ability to prioritize and define roadmap in an ambiguous environment.

- 8-12 years of overall work experience

- Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results.

- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.

- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written) and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.

- MBA Degree - Tier 1 institutes only

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :


- Proven analytical skills and highly numerate

- Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail

- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and a strong sense of being able to translate business tone and content in terms of design as well as marketing
