Designation - Category Manager for VAS, IN and Core

JD -

- The role holder will be responsible for the Management of a level three categories and below, depending on the size, business impact and complexity of the categories.

- Ensuring that Category Strategies are developed, agreed and executed to deliver the optimal cost of ownership for the category, deliver savings targets in line with RBS methodology, and demonstrable Value Add activities whilst securing the delivery of projects, goods and services across the category, thus managing risk.

- The development of and execution of Category Strategies, using the Category Management methodology.

- To work with Operations and Enablers to ensure alignment of activities to support Category development and execution.

- In addition, the role holder may include leadership of a team ensuring collective and individual accountability and success and manage the budget process associated with the team, using proven leaderships skills, to develop individuals.

- To communicate to a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

- To ensure that longer term implications of sourcing decisions are considered during category development.

Key Skills -

- The required candidate should have Strong professional background in SCM

- Experience in supplier relationship management in a dynamic technical context

- Should have commercial and negotiating skills
