Looking to hire Category Manager for an early stage startup building an online B2B marketplace targeted at wholesale buyers. Our vision is to organise the B2B ecosystem in India using technology, data science and design.

- We are building products, platforms and services for the next billion people of India, who have fundamentally different needs - access, language, selection, supply chain, financial, cultural, and the like. Our market potential is huge - in the order of hundreds of billions of dollars. We have a strong core team consisting of alumni from Stanford, IIT, Minnesota etc. having several years of industry experience in companies like Flipkart, Myntra, Apple and BCG.

Role : Category Manager

We are looking for a category manager to form our initial core team to build a thorough understanding of the category including the customer needs, products in the market, the manufacturers, current supply chain and be on top of trends that shape the category dynamics.

- Responsible for the P&L of the category

- Plan and execute category/brand/product launches seamlessly

- Define, refine and track metrics which help in assessing the health and progress of the category

- Seek continuous feedback from the buyers through online and offline mechanisms

- Driving traffic, engagement & orders via intelligent merchandising, campaigns & promotions

- Work with the product and engineering team by providing continuous feedback

- Drive measurable, scalable experiments in merchandising/marketing

Desired Skills / Experience -

- 2-4 years experience in a sales / P&L / business development role

- Exposure to consumer goods industry in trade marketing/branding role would be an advantage.

- An analytical mind with a strategic ability, excellent communication and people skills

- Possess ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of problem solving skills.

- Be comfortable in dealing with ambiguous, new, rapidly evolving and challenging situations.
