We are currently looking for a suitable candidate for a Category Manager- Marketing position for one of the topmost Consumer Goods MNCs in India. The position is to be based at Gurgaon.

Candidate Profile Required :
- Full time Masters (MBA/ PGDM) from only Premier B Schools- XLRI/ SCM HRD/ SIBM/ MDI/ NMIMS/ JBIMS/ IMT/ XIMB/ TAPMI/ Etc- 2012/ 2013 Batch passouts will be ideal. A Marketing/ Brand Management background in strong FMCG cos, Paints, Automobiles, Tyres and related industries will be preferred.
Key Focus Areas & Principal Accountabilities :
- Develop category operating plan and manage P&L to meet the planned delivery of category revenue and margins - Monitor market performance of the product category, track competitive landscape and create winning Product & Price line structure to gain market share in strategic segments
- Manage Sub-brands within the category and offer differentiated proposition and positioning for each Sub-brand
- Conceptualize new products, mine consumer relevant innovation and develop 5 year plan for new and existing Sub-brands and models in the portfolio
- Develop & Execute Consumer Research plan as per Strategic priorities of the Category and convert research outcome into insights and concrete business projects
- Plan & implement Go-to-market strategy and On-ground execution of promotion plans; Active liasoning with category & filed sales team
- Create innovative communication plan for all models in the portfolio
- Develop market strategies to gain market share and achieve volume and margin targets for the category
- Develop, execute and monitor new product development while working with cross functional teams to manage product configuration and timelines
- Liaison with cross functional teams to develop and sustain innovation pipeline
- Work with media agency to explore various innovative and cost effective communication platforms to plan effective media strategy
- Monitor competing brands on various aspects such as new product offering, pricing, ATL & BTL activities
