Role Title : Category Manager - Home Care
Department Marketing Business Unit
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
Role Summary :
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the existing as well as expanding the Home Care strategy . He/she will be responsible for business planning for the existing portfolio, doing initial secondary research to propose a medium term strategy for the portfolio, conducting requisite researches to validate hypothesis, coordinate cross functionally to develop the product pipeline, developing the communication and media strategy using the creative and media agencies and develop go to market plan in association with the Sales team.
Essence of Role - Key Accountabilities :
Business Planning - Extension of Premium Brand Status
- Developing a support plan that will help achieve the objectives
- Accountable for successful and timely execution of agreed activities on the category
- Regular Reporting of business performance of the portfolio
Strategic Planning:
- Assessment of opportunities in Home Care category
- Developing hypothesis on ways to tap those opportunities
- Assessing the validity of the hypothesis on developmental as well as consumer relevance front
- Executing the final agreed strategic plan for the category thru cross functional coordination and external vendor management.

Qualifications -
Educational Qualifications - Must be an MBA in Marketing From A Reputed Institution
Experience Required - Must have 6-8 years of experience in managing a brand in a competitive category
- Ideally must have experience in managing an Air Care brand or portfolio
- Must have experience in independently managing a brand or a category for at least 3-4 years
