Our client, a global consulting firm, is working on a sales transformation project for a prominent FMCG client in the food sector.
To support this initiative, they are looking for professionals with the following background:
1. Experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, or Category Manager with Reliance Retail or D'Mart
2. Experience in the supply chain function, either with a retailer like Reliance Retail or D'Mart, or with an FMCG company such as HUL, ITC, Marico, Pepsi, etc
Key responsibilities:
- Lead or support key account management, sales, or category management activities focused on enhancing the client's relationship with major retailers
- Play an active role in optimising supply chain functions, ensuring efficient collaboration between the client's FMCG operations and retailers
- Collaborate closely with the client's sales and operations teams to drive performance improvements in the retail segment
- Report to the project lead at the consulting firm, and collaborate with various stakeholders across the FMCG client's organization
- Contribute to the success of a broader transformation effort aimed at streamlining and optimising the client's retail operations
Your background:
- 8+ years of experience in key account management, sales management, or category management roles, preferably with major retailers like Reliance Retail or D'Mart.
- Or significant experience in the supply chain function, either within a retailer (e.g., Reliance Retail, D'Mart) or with an FMCG company (e.g., HUL, ITC, Marico, Pepsi).
- Experience in the FMCG sector is critical, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with large retailers in India
This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 8-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based in Bangalore for the entire duration of the project.
