We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Category Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing marketing initiatives, driving brand growth, and leading a team to achieve business objectives. As the Marketing Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to position our products/services within the market, increase brand awareness, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Analyze consumer behavior, preferences, and industry developments to inform marketing strategies.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for assigned product categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
Brand Positioning:
- Define and enhance the brand positioning within the market.
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand image across all marketing channels.
Campaign Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling and effective marketing collateral.
Product Launches:
- Oversee the successful launch of new products, ensuring effective communication and market penetration.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product introductions.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to drive success.
Performance Measurement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
- Regularly analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage marketing budgets for assigned categories.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on category management.
- Proven success in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
