Category Manager -Food
- A person should have good experience in category management and responsible for Profit & loss responsibility.
- Develop product line with differentiation on product with higher ASP, Margin and Premiumization.
- Develops the strategy, directs the development and implementation of company's product portfolio
- Deliver the new product revenue goals set by the organization
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Set strategic business development plan for maximizing top line and bottom-line for the business/Category
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Develop and execute optimal category strategy, pricing, promotion, range, availability and cost prices to expand both sales and margins.
- Work closely with distributor and key retail trade partners to test and implement category management principles at retail.
- Drive business growth and share of the category, and own all aspects of day to day activities.
- Negotiate Terms of trade, monitor the sales, contribution and key metrics of performance and take corrective actions, if any required.
- Closely monitor inventory and develop a review system to ensure that order fulfillments is never affected due to shortage of inventory within defined NWC budgets/days.
- Drive product penetration and sale volume among customers through innovative campaigns and programs by leveraging data science
- Own end to end P&L
- Explore new clusters for strategic sourcing
