Category Manager- Menswear (Casuals, Activewear, Innerwear)
- Responsibilities include managing a cross-functional team, making decisions about which products to sell, helping with product development along with PD, working closely with sourcing to get right-cost, quality, and on-time inventory, assisting with marketing and promotion, and overseeing inventory.
- Require familiarity with the product, merchandising and planning, marketing, sales, and supply chain management and are both creative and analytical in their decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership of merchandise calendar- decide monthly product road map, key bets, merchandise- stories/trends.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the market segment, seasonality, and global trends/events. Continually monitoring competition's assortment for assigned categories and determining the right assortment to build based on market trends and customer needs analysis.
- Weekly and monthly tracking of category P&Ls to monitor profitability goals
- Disseminate product insights across design, merchandising and marketing teams to help them to understand the story/trend, desired product positioning, key USP and target market, and customer. insights.
- Collaborating with other members of the Brand Management and marketing, ecommerce catalog, and curation teams to ensure seamless product and brand story communication to customers through ads or content and catalog pages.
- Analyze movement of assigned categories; style wise, size wise, sell thru etc.Identify best sellers & worst sellers for assigned categories and update range actively.
