Category Manager/Business Manager
Responsible to lead the growth of the company's online store with a customer-focused, commercially driven mindset. Design and recommend online sales programs and set short and long-term online sales strategies keeping the company's brand positioning in mind.
Key Deliverables:
- Responsible for developing and implementing online store's sales strategies and tactics and aligning business and technology development efforts to foster growth and customer satisfaction.
- Establish an identity and a unique value proposition for the customers to visit the online store and buy from it.
- Systematically organize and manage digital content (images, videos, copy, reviews) for multiple products. Design and continuously improve the product catalogue.
- Cultivating standards, setting SOPs, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, and new product listings.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Responsible for maximizing the sales and profit of the online store and achieving sales budgets while maintaining the premium brand positioning.
- To plan and implement promotional strategies for increasing sales as and when required.
- Selecting products and bundles for advertising through online paid channels, social media, etc. and ensuring a seamless shopping experience through the website
- Develop a content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing page development.
- Collaborate with Product Manager for technology development efforts to achieve high conversion rates and provide excellent onboarding and check-out experience.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with brand, performance, content and marketing teams to execute campaigns for high-quality traffic and conversion.
- Study competition and the market for product, packaging and pricing trends.
- Analyse various data sets to deliver data-driven strategies to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE AND SKILL SET:
- 8-10 years of experience preferably with premium brands
- Good knowledge of the Digital & eCommerce industry with relevant experience in leading an online business.
- Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals through the digital channel.
