A diversified business group, with interest in areas of sugar, sewing machines, and home appliances among others. The group has a strong brand presence nationally, and has set up offices in Asia, besides exporting globally.

Job Description:
- This position is responsible for complete ownership of the product category in terms of achievement of value, volume, profitability targets along with pricing, placement, marcom and market share.
Key Responsibilities are :
- Preparation of annual business plan for the entire range of the Product Category as per the overall strategic direction of the management
- Prepare model wise sales planning & forecasting (Monthly, Quarterly)
- Responsible for market share, quantities, value and gross margin targets for the product category
- Required to design channel schemes and channel promos to drive volume/ value share in the market. Planning & managing inventories under norms
- Ensure proper implementation of the schemes at national/ regional/ location level
- Product training to Internal as well as external customers
- Direction setting for the distributors / Star partners
- Scheme roll out and payout closure responsibility
- Track competition and come up with tactical response whenever required
- Understand consumer behaviour, competition strategy and market trends in the Product category
- Determine Product Positioning & Brand positioning to build campaigns around it
- Planning & execution of new product launches/ events for consumer/ trade.
- Competition tracking and analysis by features and price, channel, segment, etc
- Briefing sales and trade marketing teams for marketing objectives and deliverables
- Engaging with digital marketing team to draw digital strategy and content calendar for the category
Desired Candidate Profile:
MBA Marketing (from a premier B-School) with Minimum 5 years of experience, out of which 2 years in should be in Sales (initial career stint) from Consumer Durables, Electronics or Small Appliances Industry.
- Experience in working with category, go-to-market strategy & brand teams
- Experience in making and executing marketing plans
- Excellent Relationship Management skills.
- High on self Motivation, positive attitude and work ethic desired

- Good written / spoken communication skills
