Category Manager - Apparels/Footwear - Retail

Urgent Job Opening for a Category Manager - Apparels / Footwear role with a leading Retail Organization.

Experience : 5-10 yrs

Educational Background : Post Graduation - Full time MBA from Tier 1 OR Tier 2 Management Institutes.

Industry : Should be from reputed Indian / MNC in Retail companies / E-commerce companies (Apparels OR Footwear). Prior experience in FMCG / CD.

Job Experience / Skills - Category Management /Retail Planning /Sales /Product Management and experience in Apparel category

Ideal experience (Must Have): Offline Sales + Category /Product Management in the relevant category (Apparels, Clothing OR Footwear)

Location : Bangalore

Job Responsibilities :

This role is accountable for pan India business for the respective category while working closely with the pan India Sales teams on one side and with the Product Management team on the other side, bringing in a category-level business view in the organization

Key responsibilities :

- Developing & driving the category specific go-to-market strategy

- Driving Category-level numeric & weighted distribution

- Driving Category-level volumes

- Driving Category-level market share

- Identifying gaps in the market with respect to infrastructure, product placements as well as sell through and designing action plans, supporting sales team to plug the gaps

- Enabling sales teams through capability development and incentive schemes for range-selling

- Driving Category marketing, merchandising & display at all point of sale across all sales channels

- Identifying and rolling out process improvements

- Tracking and analyzing market/competition insights and developing ways to increase market share
