Category Lead - SAG/IT/TDW - Automotive

Purpose of the Role:

This Role will be responsible for Procurement Function of Sales, Administration, General Expense, IT, Transport, Distribution and Warehousing.

The category lead would play an essential role in leading the strategic sourcing opportunities, developing category plans and negotiating highly complex contracts for the business.

The role is responsible for sourcing the IT Projects and Transport and Distribution and Warehousing requirement across the Globe as well as SAG sourcing activities for India office.

Key Result Area:

1. Responsible to handle procurement of Sales, Administration, General Expense & IT and Transport, Distribution and Warehousing for Operations across the Globe.

2. To work collaboratively with dispersed stakeholders to develop strategic category plans for SAG/IT and Transport, Distribution & Warehousing

3. To have thorough knowledge of Complex IT & ITES sourcing activities, Contract management

4. To have knowledge on Leasing, Admin sourcing & General expenses and support procurement for Sales activities

5. Gain alignment on sourcing and negotiation strategies and short/long term category roadmaps.

6. Develop supplier management strategy to reduce and consolidate global suppliers.

7. Develop negotiation plans aligned with stakeholder desired outcomes for TCO, SLAs and key business terms (INCO Terms etc.)

8. To collaborate with Supply Chain

9. Negotiate & finalize LTA for Local as well as International Transport, Distribution & Warehousing

10. Manage process compliance during all phases of ordering to ensure that are no audit observations/process gaps

11. Influence decision makers at all levels by presenting business case, spend-cost analysis and performance metrics

12. Lead cross functional teams and Serve as the Procurement lead for the stakeholders & team and guide them on strategic sourcing and operational procurement processes.

13. Guide the team on strategic sourcing and operational procurement processes.

Work Experience :10-12 yrs of sourcing and negotiating experience related to IT and Transport and Distribution and Warehousing (Global)

Preferable: Handled procurement function In MNC having India as back office for Procurement

Educational Background:

Mandatory : Degree in IT

Desired : MBA or Diploma in Import/Export
