Designation - Category Lead, North
Job profile:
- Lead the team of Area Executives & Business Officers in creating the business growth map for the region, focusing on critical levers such as Planning, Distribution, Execution and Quality.
- In each case, the Category Lead (CL) would be expected to help articulate the difference between current and future desired states, as well as define a plan for bridging the two.
- Execution would be in line with the overall trade marketing guidelines defined for the India business.
- Deploy necessary Infrastructure by way of front-line sellers, Sales Officers, Area Manager's & Distributors, and Units etc. to ensure quality distribution at optimal cost to serve.
- Manage and deploy sales and commercial budgets within approved levels, to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure efficient adoption of all sales processes in line with our strategy, such as Information technology, Capability building etc.
- As a senior people leader, CL is expected to build and support the engagement of his or her immediate and extended team, through HR processes.
- Additional responsibility of supporting the skill development of their teams, working closely with the Sales Capability function.
- Lastly, the CL will be a key part of the Sales Leadership Team, playing a crucial role in helping shape and co-create the sales strategy for the larger organization.
Candidate's Profile
- Experience in any or combination of - channel sales, business development, sales development
- Experience in Food Industry is preferable
- Experience of at least one Area Manager / Zonal/Regional level role preferable. Handled a team of 4 - 5 ASMs + 20 - 25 Sales Officers / Frontline
