Category Head-Spices
Responsibilities:
- Bring together existing team nicely and harness their capabilities in the best way.
- Extract value from and grow existing product and customer base, idea will be to cross-sell as much as we can to make ourselves as useful to the customer as possible.
- Over time progress from whole spices into powders and value addition.
- Generate or lead strategic investment funnel for the company.
- Execution needs to be strong - credit risk, ops, quality etc.
- Integrate backward or forward in the space as needed.
Requirements:- Core competence in procurement or processing or sales of 1 or more of the large spices such as chillies or seed spices or turmeric.
- Has held p&l responsibility for an extended period of time.
- Overseen a significant part of the end to end value chain of 1 or more products.
- Managed mid-sized to large teams.
- Interested in building/growing a business.
- Candidate has hunger to learn and grow themselves while growing the business.
- Should have strong network in the spice industry.
- Export experience is nice to have.
- Knowledge of powders and other value added products a nice to have.
