Category Head - Retail Industry
You will play a key role in designing the Product Portfolio Strategy, Private Brand Portfolio Strategy, defining targets at category & Sub Category Level, doing Vendor Negotiations.
Key responsibilities include, but not restricted to the following:
Product Portfolio Strategy:
- Classifying brands as per sales contribution and margin mix into different buckets.
- New Category Introduction
Defining Targets at category & Sub Category Level:
- Identifying category wise trends in market
- Identifying sales trends category wise
- Identifying the seasons and calendar to focus for the feature & seasonal planning
- Setting targets for the stores with respect to category
Private Brand Portfolio Strategy:
- Selection of assortment for private brands
- Identifying the pricing and positioning
Master Data Management:
- New article listing
Space Planning:
- Measuring the GMROF for the category & the brands
- Providing guidelines for plan and programming
- Providing guidelines for feature planning
- Visibility & FSUs Payments & Income
Required Education/Professional Qualification:
- Tier 1/2 Institutes only- from IIM-A, B, C, ISB, FMS, NITIE
- 2-5 years of prior work experience in Retail sector in Category Management
