Job Description and Position Overview:
Following are the key deliverable s of the position:
- Build category / categories assigned medium / long term procurement strategy and value drivers.
- Align with stakeholders and deliver the strategy implementation.
- Lead the team of buyers for the respective categories for buying consolidation, Strategic advantage, negotiations and timely delivery to users.
- Vendor development for the select categories to deliver long term strategic advantage in close coordination with the user departments.
- Lead / participate in the Cross Functional Teams to drive wide consensus and new ideas in line with the category strategic road map.
- Define cost reduction target for category through strategic procurement and deliver year on year.
- Carry out spent analytics for the category spent and thus arrive at potential opportunities and action plans.
- Project Manage the agreed short/ medium and long term plans.
- Ensure compliance to company policy and procedures and help build / improve the control environment.
Desired Skills / Candidate Profile:
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Robust knowledge of the Procurement fundamentals.
- Strong analytics and ability to carry out complex regression /or spent cube modelling.
- Project management skills.
- Negotiation expertise.
- Strong people skills and comfort to work in cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated success and in Indirect/ direct procurement working experience of minimum 4-5 years.
Please Note:
- MBA - Operations from Premium institute and
- Working experience in FMCG or Pharma Industry required.
