Role : Category Head
Reporting to : CEO
Job Purpose : Be responsible for Top-line and Bottom-line of all categories (kitchen and wardrobes, Furniture and D- cor)
Responsibilities :
- To manage a team of category managers in kitchen and wardrobes, Furniture and D'cor categories
- Setting up the vendor base for the category including tie-ups and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices
- Achievement of Net Sales, Margins, Stock Turnover & Sales and ensure best possible margins are maintained
- Working closely with marketing to enhance Brand Visibility
- Finalizing product cost, deciding selling Price and promotion plans
- Manage category P&L, strategic priorities and drive execution
- Marketing, merchandising and customer engagement
- Responsible for customer experience
- Responsible to drive overall units, revenue and profitability and growth of categories
- Responsible for planning & driving the annual operating plan (AOP) by analyzing the market size, growth rates and planned market share.
- Ensure that the buying is optimized to offer a wide variety of choices at best prices to consumers
- Work with the Design head to plan and manage product assortment.
- Working closely with installation team to schedule delivery and coordinate installation
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of experience in heading a category in eCommerce, preferable in hard lines
- Prior experience in developing a vendor base
- MBA from tier 1/tier 2 college is preferred
