Our client, a global payment consulting firm, is looking for payment cards Issuing Specialist. The objective of this role is to strategically assess and plan programs that align with the Client's Cards Issuing business priorities, while effectively deploying and implementing initiatives that enhance the Client's business performance. This includes evaluating market opportunities and risks, optimizing scheme pricing, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating resources across multiple projects to deliver sustained value and impact for the Client.
Key Responsibilities:
Program assessment and planning:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Client business and priorities;
- Evaluate and quantify Client-specific opportunities and risks in the local market context;
- Integrate insights from recent market trends into business performance improvement plans;
- Handle all aspects of interchange and scheme pricing
Deployment and implementation of initiatives:
- Set up a Center of Engagement to coordinate across key and concurrent initiatives;
- Implement the priority value realisation activities with rigor, discipline, and focus on Client impact;
- Deploy selected optimal mix of scheme products and services needed to improve -Client's business performance;
- Coordinate resources, scheme/ network, Client as well as third parties to ensure sustained quality of Client activities (Deliverables and timelines);
- Ensure compliance with scheme mandates and regulations; and
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and collaborate with the team to optimise pricing strategies;
- Review P&L (profit and loss) lines for issuing business to ensure financial feasibility; and
- Actively and efficiently liaison with scheme Product, and Account Management functions with feedback;
Your background:
- Over 10 years of proven experience in project management with a focus on end-to-end project management of complex projects in the payments domain
- Extensive experience working on payment products and proposition launches
- In depth understanding on Interchange, scheme pricing and regulations
- Solid organisational abilities with keen attention to detail and effective multitasking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
This is a 12-months contractual role based onsite in Dubai.
