CarDekho.com - Senior Product Manager - eCommerce - IIT/NIT/NSIT

Product Managers at Gaadi / CarDekho are responsible for new product planning, executing and delivering world class products on the web and mobile platforms. The products are consumer facing, dealer facing and internal process improvement products. The product management function follows a methodical lean management approach to product management. Our goal is to find out how we can take the product to the next level while executing small experiments to improve the important user metrics. Key Responsibilities

- Owns strategy and roadmap for a e commerce business

- Single point of contact for e commerce products

- Define complete product requirement of e commerce market place system

- Manage the complete product development strategy for ecommerce front end and back end systems such as check out flow, discount engine, CRM, CMS and merchant panel systems.

- Manage long term product strategy of selling products and services through the online ecommerce platform

- Takes strategic decision of licencing open source /licenced products widely available in the market to improve time to market.

- Stake holder management

- Ability to understand and discuss technical aspect of the solutions with technical architects. Passionate about technology. have used technology to solve business problems in previous organizations

- Work with category, logistics and operations team to define product requirements

- Have knowledge of catalog management, order management and vendor manager in E-commerce domain.

- Design and run beta / pilot programs with early-stage products and product iteration cycle

- Establish strong product management processes, run daily, weekly reviews

- Provide innovative/3rd party solutions for Reporting, Analytics and CRM for ecommerce

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

- Education: from Tier I Engineering School - IITs, NITs, NSIT, DCE. MBA is optional

- Minimum of 4 year experience as a Product Manager

- Experience of developing / launching at least one mobile product

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Ability to work in cross-functional settings and influence without formal authority

- Strong project management and coordination skills

- Passionate about mobiles

- Hands on experience of coding in MySQL, and any scripting language like PHP etc. will be a plus

- Experience in developing mobile commerce solution will be a plus

- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
