Cardekho.com - Data Scientist

Data scientist at CarDekho.com and Gaadi.com are responsible for leading a team of analysts and statistician to design and develop a used car valuation index, improve search algorithms and overall product by analyzing TBs of data collected on our platform. We are looking for people who are data driven, passionate about numbers and predictive models and who help our customers find the right used car for them at the right price on our platform.

Key Roles:

- Deploy statistical modelling techniques, advanced analytical and quantitative tools to build and improve a used car pricing tool

- Develop statistical models and algorithms to improve search results and improve customer engagement on the platform

- Understand various data structures, conduct quality checks and formalize processes and rules to ensure completeness and accuracy of data

- Perform data integration, manipulation, and querying for analytics as required

- Supplement existing data with consumer and market surveys as required

- Acquire understanding of used car space in India and globally

- Present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner and lead discussions with potential partners especially financial institutions

Key Requirements

- Education: CS, EE, Math or EE Graduate / Postgraduate from Tier 1 school. Course in statistics is definite plus

- Exceptional academic qualifications including advanced statistical training,

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Strong problem solving and logical skills

- Advanced coding skills in atleast one language - VBA, Matlab, Python

- Ability to use statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS, R

- Advanced understanding of MS SQL, MS Access, MS Excel

- Experience in Statistical Modelling using Univariate and Multivariate Regression Analysis, Generalized Regression Modeling, Bayesian Statistics, Survey Sampling, Clustering, Optimization
