Transition Lead (High Complex Transitions / Team Size over 30)

Level :

Position Definition :

- The Transition Manager has the overall responsibility for the Transition.

Role Description :

- Has participated in atleast 5 Transitions.

- Has oversight responsibility of over 3 Transitions.

- Accountable for the overall success of the Transition. This includes development and implementation of a transition solution. This position may involve both pre and post-sales activities. The Transition Manager bridges the gap between the Pre-Sales Engagement Manager and the Account Manager / Service Delivery Manager.

- Demonstrates understanding, application, and refinement of Service Delivery Transition plans and deliverables in the Outsourcing space, which includes but is not limited to HR, Finance, Infrastructure Management frameworks, Application Management frameworks, Knowledge Transfer, Knowledge Management, Training, Management & Operating Process and Procedures, Facilities, Organizational Change, Governance and Reporting, and Transition Management Office.

- This role requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities :

- Reviews proposals and contracts for accuracy in areas related to transition. Interfaces with sales team and operations team to ensure smooth transition effort.

- Develops and implements a master transition plan that manages cost and schedule to create or modify facilities, hire required staff, implement, monitor, track, status reporting and test technical solution, and put in place initial service delivery processes.

- On an engagement interacts with key managers and experts (internal e.g. Service Delivery Team, Support Groups, CS/TS and external e.g. client, FO transition team, 3rd parties) in order to understand the current environment, the business complexity as related to the contract requirements, and validates the proposed transition architecture and solution.

- Establishing the Front Office and the Back Office Governance Structure, communication mechanism, along with roles and responsibilities and subsequent service delivery through RACI.

- Initiate the OTACE process for the Transition & Service Delivery.

- Risk & issue management - creation and maintenance of risk and issue register.

- Monitor, track and resolve critical transition related issues.

- Setting up and ensuring smooth routine reporting mechanisms.

- Ensuring that the scope of the services to be transitioned, and the SLAs expected from the service delivery are clearly understood and agreed upon by all stake holders.

- Drive the activities around setting up the infrastructure to be used during the KT phase and also during the service delivery phase. Ensure that the required hardware/software is in place, the connectivity is established and is adequate for sustained service delivery.

- Monitor knowledge transfer activities for completeness and perform KT acceptance to ensure that the KT is sufficient.

- Drive activities related to project staffing and mobility, including recruitment, on-boarding, skill-gap analysis, organizing training programs, planning for travel etc.

- Involved in readiness assessment before cutover.

- Work with the SDM to define the process and procedures for service delivery.

- Hand over the service delivery to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM). Perform post-implementation review and document lessons learnt.

- Ensure client sign-offs and tracking of Transition Budgets.

- Assist the SDM in preparation of the Service Quality Plan (SQP). Ensure that SQP is defined before transition is complete

- Acting as escalation point for the project.

- Responsible for preparation of ICA/IV and tracking transition against IV.

- Responsible for invoicing of transition.

- Responsible for knowledge/collateral creation.

- Responsible for post-implementation review.

- Report progress of transition by circulating weekly dashboard.
