Job Description – Operations Lead
Role requirements:
- Should have delivery/technology background
- Take care of all operations for IDP – has played the role of Ops Lead and handled staffing, financials and worked on building strategies etc
- 2-3 years experience atleast in Operations with Delivery Background
- Report to – Vinay Kar
- Level – SM
- Location – Mumbai
- Education background – somebody with a MBA is preferred
Job Summary:
- Will be responsible for day-to-day operations, managing various supporting groups
- Working with management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices
- This position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the BU's financial and operations functions.
- Leads operations people practice.
- Is overall accountable for IDP/SBU operations and staffing escalations.
- Create an overall demand fulfillment strategy and monitor/validate execution of the same, as per forecast/budget.
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization.
- Financial - Review financial data; utilize financial data to improve efficiency.
- Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of BU goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. Implement and manage operational plans. Recommend effective strategies for the financial well-being of the BU.
- Staffing - Fulfillment through effective planning and tracking, effective management of bench; establishment of organizational structure; delegation of tasks and accountabilities. Responsible for analysis of historical data to derive future trends and forecasts. Responsible for key hiring for projects as well as strategic positions
- Introduce innovative ideas to optimize operational effectiveness
- Communication - Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as Delivery, HR, Accounts, Finance and BU Operations. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
- Build effective training plans and strategy to deploy
- Be party to review forecasts, finance reviews
- Build best-in-class presentations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Participate in business reviews
Qualifications:
- Masters in Business Administration (Operations preferred)
- At least 3 years’ experience in Operations Management and Staffing
- At least 5-6 years experience in Delivery Management
- Demonstrated leadership ability in prior jobs
- Experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Access
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace
- Open to direction and Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
- Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the BU.
