Role Overview:
Ensures the delivery of a high quality, customer focused service on a daily basis to the client in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements.
Responsible for leading, motivating and assigning work a small team. Aims at improving process and motivating staff to do the same. Responsible for following control procedures and maintaining operational procedures.
General Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Is responsible for managing teams of on average 2-3 FTEs and processing more complex transactions and producing outputs in the following areas:
- Facilitate in the By-Title Signoff with Country Controller
- Share Critical Process Reviews with Controller
- Prepare for Profit Center/ Cost Center Review
- Participate in the Territory / BU Lock Meetings
- Account Reconciliations - Approvals / Quality Audits for High Risk Reconciliations
- Run MEC/Adhoc Reports, Process Review Support, Interaction with LOB/COE at SDC
- Audit Support as Required from Territory/BU
- Run Reports on Trial Balance and Support Asst. Controllers/ Controllers
- Provide Inputs for Lock Meetings
- Review of work at an analytical level for proactive, preventive error detection
- Clear, concise and transparent communication to customer
- Perform analytical reviews of financial data
- Perform Trial Balance analyses prior to month-end financial statement validation
- Lead/Facilitate/Participate in quarterly Balance Sheet reviews
- Coordinate the FS Verification and BT Sign offs
- Review account reconciliations to ensure open items reflect current activity and follow up with BU/Territory to resolve aged or reconciling items
- Account Reconciliations - Approvals / Audits - Low & Medium Reconciliations
- Basic understanding of Media & Entertainment business and in particular the assigned BU/Territory
Qualifications (Education/Experience/Certification):
- Bachelor or Equivalent in appropriate field and 5-6 years of relevant Finance/accounting experience.
- SAP Knowledge (mandatory)
- Experience in Lean /Six Sigma (preferred)
- Understanding the Business Object (preferred)
