Desired Competencies (Technical Competency)

1. Strong understanding of Azure environment and experienced in working with HDInsight.

2. Real life project experience in Azure HDInsight (Hadoop,Spark,Kafka), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob etc.

3. Hands on experience of setting up and running HDInsight cluster.

4. Familiarity with Azure Power Shell Scripting, Azure File Share, Azure storage types.

5. Strong programming skill (C#/Python/Java)

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

- Designing, Architecting and Migrating Azure HDInsight based applications (Data Lake) end to end. Developing architecture blueprints and detailed documentation.

- Exploring Azure native services like ADF, Event Hub, Stream Analytics, CosmosDB etc. that fit into the requirement and implement the same to resolve business problems.

- Implementing security, governance, monitoring, performance optimization, backup, disaster recovery strategies for Big Data applications on Azure

- Articulating the pros and cons between various Azure tools/technologies based on specific business requirements.

- Setting up and running HDInsight cluster
