Regional Sales Manager (Direct Sales)
Role Purpose :
The role is to lead direct distribution channel for a zone as profit center head and deliver top line and productivity.
Principal Accountabilities :
Key activities and decision making areas :
Impact on the Business / Function :
- Ensuring resource optimization and productivity delivery from each sales unit and achieve business numbers.
- Actively engaging with sales team and plan lead generation campaigns.
- Update to management on competition practices and business progress
- Ensuring efficiency at all levels from lead generation, appointment to policy conversion.
- Keeping attrition within control and team recruitment along with HR
- Attend Joint calls with new employees, periodic performance reviews to identify Improvement areas.
Typical Targets and Measures :
- Daily monitoring with all Teams (TL & IO) about yesterdays performance & today's targets.
- To organize meeting of Employees with concerned location heads (every month)- Monthly Reviews
- Adhering to SMP and daily monitoring matrix
- FOS productivity
- No adverse feedback from stakeholders
- Positive feedback from 'customers'
- Timely response to internal and external queries. .
- Understands own role and how it relates to team and the final outcome of any endeavor.
Leadership & Teamwork :
- Builds and leverage relationships to get work done, required to be an effective communicator and come across as easily approachable to the business, which are critical attributes for a control function.
Operational Effectiveness & Control :
- Ensure efficient operating model within the team with job responsibilities clearly defined and activities allocated amongst staff based upon their core areas of expertise and experience
- Keeping track of performance needs and identifying training needs
- Releasing report & providing feedback
Role Context :
- Management & Leadership of Regulatory, Compliance & Operational Risk (Operational Risk / Control requirements) :
- Report any operational risk or operational risk loss to the line manager and the Risk & Control team immediately if the jobholder becomes aware of emerging or inadequately controlled operational risk or identify an operational risk loss in accordance with Company's Risk policy.
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / Control requirements) :
- Maintain and observe Company's internal control standards, implement and observe the Company's Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
- Foster a compliance culture and implement the Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk and optimising relations with regulators
