Job Title: Sr. Manager - Public Relations & Corporate Communications

JOB PURPOSE:
- This role will be responsible for building solid relationships with critical media outlets, bloggers, Opinion Leaders, and Influencers in South Asia to support the business's product integrity and awareness.
- The Senior PR & CC Manager will possess comprehensive knowledge of the audiences and key issues while guiding media engagement strategies and prioritization of outlets especially for product launches and partnerships in South Asia markets.
- Think strategically with a passion for tactical and detailed public relations development & execution.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for understanding the product's PR objectives and establishing impactful programs that promote them.
- Develop a Framework / Scorecard to monitor and optimize the public relations plans and ensure they stay aligned to the Brand's and product vertical's overall objectives in South Asia.
- Play a leading role in creating the brand/product's messaging on thought leadership platforms, which will, in time, position Cambridge University Press & Assessment products in South Asia as a thought leader
- Lead media outreach initiatives in pitching, handling inbound media queries, and managing relationships between Marketing and local, national, and international media in South Asia.
- Be responsible for developing storylines, written materials, and messages such as press releases, media advisories, pitches, presentations, etc., that are tied to the Brand and PR plan framework.
- Be responsible for deploying internal communications content that increases the various stakeholder's understanding of the public relations role, activities, and media coverage functions.
- Develop media relation strategies that cover the Brand's crucial constituencies Media (digital and offline), Blogs, Education Centric Websites, Domain Influencers, Education Policy Makers, and
School Leadership Communities, which inspires even greater awareness of the Cambridge University Press & Assessment Brand and its reach in South Asia markets.
- Formulate, maintain, and enhances PR analytics tools and reporting process methods
Additional Duties: Perform any other duties that may be expected of you by your immediate Manager.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Exceptional PR and Communications background and experience of 15 to 20 years.
- Master's degree in Mass Media, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Successful track record in a progressive public relations position in a fast-moving and dynamic business environment or one of India's Top PR agencies managing PR for well-known brands/categories. Global project experiences will be a huge plus.
SKILLS:
- Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Have an extraordinary ability to communicate Brand, Product, and Business messages most clearly and concisely, bringing about a positive outlook on the business, especially to external partners, stakeholders, consumers, and governments in South Asia markets.
- Proven and successful experience planning and managing multiple PR projects proactively or under tight deadlines. Good Media Relationship and Networking in traditional PR channels like Print, TV, and Web News networks, besides experience working with newer & modern PR channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Exceptional abilities to develop relationships and partnerships (internal/global) across all levels exhibiting strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Display comfort working in cross-functional settings to think outside the box while finding creative and unorthodox PR solutions that will give the Cambridge University Press & Assessment Brand and various others a distinctive edge over the competition in South Asia.
- Expert presentation, facilitation, and training skills. Flexible, with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong program management skills: plan, communicate, execute and follow through.
- Ability to make regular pitches & presentations to various audiences, proficient in Visual Aids MS Word, PowerPoint, and similar. Able to deliver creative content for presentations, media releases that is engaging and impacting.
- Ability to work with influencers and stakeholders to develop creative and innovative media plans. Manage both Paid and Earned media effectively for maximum impact
