As a business development manager, you'll need to:


- Good Communication skills, Convincing skills and possess high energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to maintain consistent levels of activity to achieve calling and lead generation quotas.


- Develop US/Canada market by doing outbound calls to the New clients


- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets


- Management of End-to-End Business Development process starting from lead generation to closure.


- Foster and Develop relationships with customers/clients


- Researching actively for potential clients.


- Coordinating business generation activities, Developing customized targeted partner strategies.


- Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales performance.


- Creating & maintaining a list of databases of prospect clients


- Making multiple outbound calls to potential clients


- Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate


- Create a sales pipeline


- Develop the business sales and marketing strategy.


- Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management


- Achieving quarterly targets and responsible for identification of opportunities, mapping and prospecting them for conversion.


- Tracking competitors movement in the market as a proactive measure to retain the existing client base.


- Managing the execution of Project from presales client communication to the deployment of project & further Post Sales efforts for repeat business as well as identifying the areas for new business with existing Client.


- Introducing Project Manager to client and handing over project info to facilitate smooth transitioning of project responsibilities till the project completion.


Qualifications:


- Should be in BDM role currently with minimum 3 years of tenure and shall have at least 7+ Years in Business Development/B2B Sales preferably in North American market i.e. US and Canada


- As a business development manager, you'll identify new business opportunities followed up by generating revenues every month/quarter as per assigned targets, improve profitability and help the business grow.


- The primary objective is to identify new business opportunities. What form this takes will depend on the exact nature of the company.


- But youll more than likely be looking to identify new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, or new service offerings to better meet the needs of existing markets. And then youll be expected use these opportunities to bring in more revenue.


- Your work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business


- How that happens exactly depends on the industry. It can be a combination of cold calling, email flyers, references from existing clients, responding to incoming leads and so forth.


- Travelling if and when required to attend conferences, events.


- Be willing to work in US SHIFTS.


- Should have through knowledge of complete sales cycle i.e. data mining/lead generation to the closure and then managing that account to ensure the repeat business


- Should have been into individual contributor role preferably and should be able to take care of the closing part.


- Should be familiar with RFQ/RFP/RFI and bidding process


- Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills


- Should work on Sales Funnel and so forth
