Buying Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Market Interactions :- Regularly interact and visit the stores to gather first hand customer response to the merchandise offering - style, quality, display & pricing
- Observe customer's purchase behaviour to understand future product development / styling needs and pricing decisions
- Interact directly with store teams to handle queries and objections, training store teams on Product
- Interact with MRHs on specifics to help them achieve their target, faster growth
Category Planning & Management :- Support Category Head in Product range planning and buying by identifying existing and new business opportunities
- Develop and implement the annual calendar for design, range launches, promotions, stock rationalization and discount
- Ensure timely approvals & placement of orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Drive the pricing, marketing and promotions of the category's products in order to make them as visible, accessible, and appealing to customers
- Innovate for targeting new customer segment, increasing sales and rationalizing costs
- Customize product mixes for regional preferences
- Create and maintain workflows, WIP, Time and Action plan for the category
- Provide communication briefs addressing category requirement
- Review code excel as per CPA guidelines
- Maintain costing sheets
- Ensure maintenance of accurately filled Product order sheets
Vendor Management:- Source, develop and maintain a productive relationship with vendors (Fabric and Garment) that is mutually beneficial to the company and artisans
- Deploy orders to DP vendors judiciously and create an approved list of nominated vendors with SCM
