Buyer/Merchandiser - Kids Fashion

We are looking for an experienced Buyer who will be able to understand kids fashion in India and able to procure relevant merchandise from a set of brands given to them.

- They should also be able to create a feedback loop between hopscotch and third party vendors for business growth.

- They should be able to process purchasing requisitions from the managers in the field and turn those requisitions into purchase orders.

- The Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled, when reorders are required and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed.

- A successful candidate for this position has experience in the e commerce/kids fashion industry and an strong understanding of inventory management concepts.

- Also, they should be able to study trends and analyse competitor business.

Qualifications:

1. Candidates must have a natural inclination towards merchandise selection, forging alliances, and Vendor management

2. Strong quantitative skills and use of excel is necessary.

3. Sound technical knowledge in Apparels

4. Undergraduate degree from a good institution, MBA preferred

5. Interest or background in consumer products or the children's vertical

6. Strong communication and leadership, preferably experienced in leading teams

7. Exposure to international assortment and markets
