Required Experience More than 4 years of experience in SCM, CAPEX Procurement and related area for large scale Solar Plants

Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Buyer specializing in the Civil category for our rapidly growing solar industry company.

The SCM Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for civil construction materials and services necessary for solar energy projects.

This position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering materials, construction processes, and procurement strategies within the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities: Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of civil construction materials and services including but not limited to concrete, steel, foundations, racking systems, and installation services.

Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials and services.

Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring reliability of supply.

Demand Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to forecast material needs and ensure timely procurement to meet project timelines.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials meet required specifications and quality standards, conducting inspections and audits as necessary.

Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to optimize spending.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain related to civil materials procurement and develop mitigation strategies.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards throughout the procurement process.

Reporting: Generate regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings achieved.

Technical Experience Hands-on experience in transactions for CAPEX of medium/ large size Solar.

Knowledge of the overall purchasing process and procurement related systems and supplier relationship management.
