Purpose of this role :
- Avail emerging opportunities in solar PV space in India (& over a period of time, overseas) to grow Company's solar business portfolio
- Continue to service existing solar customers for a higher share of their projects Strategic Roles
- Fine tune and align internal business processes to remain competitive (especially in view of regular reduction in Rs / watt spent on solar BoS as well as solar panels)
- Discuss and implement cost-effective upgrades of existing products or introduce new products to remain ahead of competition and improve share of business
Operational Roles :
Grow business :
- Map emerging opportunities, discuss with senior management and prioritize
- Make persuasive case with prospective end customers (through EPC or system integrators or consultants) for pre-qualification of product
- Periodically review and ensure a healthy pipeline of new orders as per geography mix, domain mix, product mix discussed and agreed
- Ensure that supplies to customers are made as per timelines and quality committed and ensure a high customer satisfaction
P&L Management
- Periodically review and ensure that topline, bottom-line, OpEx are maintained at agreed levels
Key Account Management :
- Keep strong relations with existing customers and ensure attention to their on-going problems, if any, during use of Company's products
New Product Introduction
- Periodically interact with domain experts, technology developers to understand trends
- Align internal business processes and drive people to develop new products to avail additional revenue opportunities
Marketing of Company :
- Plan, participate or attend conferences, exhibitions in India and overseas to showcase Company's products, technical capability
- Support preparation of evocative and persuasive collaterals
Commercial :
- Work with customers pro actively to gain an advantage while documenting specifications in RFP / RFQ documents
- Coordinate with procurement, estimation and oversee accurate and timely response to tender process
- Oversee conduct of "kick-off" meetings after receipt of customer orders for easy and smooth coordination among various business functions
- Oversee timely and accurate invoicing, documentation in support of invoicing, collection (including release of performance guarantees)
Tactical Roles :
- Maintain relations with all external stake-holders (end users, "influencers", EPC, managers in public utilities etc)
- Maintain cordial relations with internal stake-holders to ensure smooth and easy execution of his business tasks
- Maintain relations with domain experts to be "ahead of curve" and drive strategic advantage to Company
