Business Unit Head - Agricultural

- You will be responsible for building a value chain of extension centres to help small farmers optimize their agriculture yield by getting support on crop management and harvesting techniques., soil management and crop protection, food processing, livestock breeding & care and training.

- The role also would be required to bring relevant innovative solutions in the agri business and work on implementable solutions.

- The position will functionally be responsible for Identifying and analyzing agricultural requirements in a given geography and providing inputs to respective stakeholders to develop workable business solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Expected to collaborate closely with technical service and marketing to close opportunities and generate new ideas for new products and applications.

- Provide input for the development of annual projections and forecasts for assigned territory using CRM as the primary tool.

- Gather and report market intelligence concerning new product development, competitive activities, change in industry personnel, etc.

- Attain sales goals through implementation and management of strategies that support direct sales efforts and those of territory Distributors (where applicable)..

- Clearly communicate activities in territory in Call Reports, Monthly Reports and Annual Reports in a timely manner. Maintain responsible accounts in CRM effectively and proactively. Drive business growth via defined/maintained CRM opportunities.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BSc in Agriculture & MBA with minimum 20-25 years of experience in Agricultural / Agronomical support/Farm equipment industry/food processing industry or other relevant industry in techno-commercial function

2. At least 8-10 years of proven experience in managing some of the business models in agriculture extension, crop management, agriculture mechanization, food processing and/or livestock management.

3. Should have the ability to create workable business models out of the agriculture domain in different geographies in the world.

4. Ability to business trends in agriculture and anticipate future needs

5. Must have managed a business in agriculture

6. Prior experience of working in different geographies especially Africa would be preferable.

7. Excellent communication skills
