Job Objective :
The Incumbent would be primarily responsible for the design, development, and production of recurring management reporting providing value additive analysis of bank's credit risk profile and assessment of emerging risk issues.
The analyst will support Credit Risk Head with an understanding of current risk drivers, portfolio concentrations and correlations as well as potential tail risks through in-depth exposure analyses and risk insights for the credit portfolio, consisting of all products, which expose bank to credit risk
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct portfolio analysis (including but not limited to product, tenor, industry-wise analyses) and suggest de-risking strategies for the portfolio - Identifying positive and negative trends across business segments - Monitor and report credit portfolio of the bank by highlighting various risk factors at portfolio and industry level
- Analyze changes and trends in credit portfolio and summarize findings Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio review materials; review and defend analysis with senior portfolio manager
- Assist with ad-hoc requests for new point-in-time and trend analysis of the credit portfolio, including capture and aggregation of data not already in credit, risk, or firm systems
- Participate in end-to-end report development lifecycle: ideation, data collection and aggregation, prototyping, report production, and automation
- Escalate data issues to the Data Control team and Credit Risk Agile IT squads and assist with the remediation of data problems
- Collaborate with Data Control, Credit Risk Agile IT squads, Credit Coverage and Business Unit representatives, to ensure new and emerging data required for portfolio analysis is on-boarded into credit risk systems
- Assist in the training and oversight of junior colleagues
Skills/Experience
- 8 to 15 years of experience Financial Services, preferably Credit Risk Management
- Understanding of credit risk wholesale and retail lending
- Strong proficiency in Excel & SQL, and VBA; proficiency in programming (R, Python, MATLAB) and/or dashboard/Business Intelligence tools a plus - Should be experienced in working with and analyzing large quantities of data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including delivering effective presentations to senior management
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables
- CA, CFA, MBA from premier institute are preferred
