Accountabilities:
- Assist the country practice teams in design and build of new MS Access, MS Excel and VBA applications
- Assist the country practice teams with testing and documentation of MS Access / Excel / VBA Applications
- Assist the country practice teams in code reviews and bug fixes
- Manage a team of ~20 people
- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
- Work on and manage several large- to- medium-size projects
- Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical / competency area
- Focus team on key priorities and ensure that team members deliver quality service as per client’s needs and priorities
- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
- Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps, and devise alternative ways forward
- Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and client’s expectations
- Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them
- Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high-risk and complexity
- Act as a counselor for team members
- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of the team
- Identify L&D requirements of team members; plan and conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions for the team
Competencies / Skills
Must Have:
- Highly numerate and analytical individual, preferably with an excellent academic record and a degree in computers, engineering, economics, sciences, or accounting & finance
- Excellent MS Access skills with a proven experience of building complex MS Access applications using forms, queries and visual basic code
- Advanced MS Excel and VBA skills
- Very strong relational database (SQL Server) design and build skills
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic Editor and Visual Studio 2005/2008
- In-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Proven experience in estimating, planning and managing technology projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and relationship management skills
- Strong business acumen
Good to Have:
- Visual Basic skills
- Basic knowledge on MS Visio VBA
- Basic knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools like Spotfire, Tableau and Qlikview
- Knowledge of C# .NET
- Any Microsoft certifications
- Experience in testing methodologies and using testing tools
Education & Experience:
B Tech with 7 to 10 yrs of experience providing database and reporting solutions using applications such as MS Excel, Advanced Excel, MS Access, VBA, SQL Server, SQL, Reporting
MBA (03/04/05) with 8 to 10 yrs experience - in a KPO/ Captive/ Shared Service environment / IT Firms / BPO
- Should be handing a team of at least 10-15 + members currently
