This position reports to Director - New Business Initiative (NBI) - India & South Asian Market who in turn reports into the Managing Director.
This is a high impact, high visibility, "individual contributor" role with close interaction & influencing multiple stakeholders across the organization.
The incumbent is entrusted with the task of incubating new business for INDIA & SOUTH ASIAN MARKET with an object of delivering 15% of India Top-line within 5 years. This is a business management role wherein the incumbent will get an opportunity to test & prove his/her skill across multi-dimensional function. Need to have sound understanding of sales & channel processes. Should have handled "Product marketing" & "New product development" roles. Financial value chain understanding will be an added advantage.
The job profile consists of delivery in 3 major domains, as follows :
1st : OPPORTUNITY ASSESSMENT
1. Identify new segment & product category with synergy to existing and future businesses
2. Potential assessment - National & geographical spread
3. Need Gap Assessment from Consumer & other key stakeholders (Architects, Developers, Contractors) for identified product category & services
4. Market scanning (India, South Asian market & Africa) for competitive product & services offering
5. Market assessment for existing & expected supply system
6. Mapping of existing & expected Sales Services & Distribution network
7. Commercial policy, pricing, discount & trade retention structure operating in market for identified product category & services, if any
2nd : BUSINESS BLUE-PRINTING
1. Identify company products & sourcing options (India & global options)
2. Consumer & stake-holder's validation of the shortlisted product & services solution
3. Financial modeling for suggested Commercial policy, pricing, discount & trade retention structure
4. Prepare business blue-print for management approval & funding
3rd : EXECUTION
1. Support Operational team (sourcing, services & manufacturing) for back-end roll-out
2. Prepare GTM plan in consultation with Sales & Marketing function
3. Monitor the launch & in-market execution as per plan
4. Hand-over the operation to Mainline Sales & Marketing team
CANDIDATE PROFILE & OTHER DETAILS
1. With 6-8 years of total experience in Sales (2-3 years) followed by Product marketing (2-3 years) in Appliances, Durables, Paint or same sector
2. MBA from top 20 B-Schools
3. Career migration for the said position 3-5 years down the line
- Option 1 : Sales & Marketing Head for NBI India
- Option 2: Business Head role at regional role
