- To develop business by identifying new business opportunities in his/her segment of responsibilities, evaluate current performance and drive segment growth.
- Identify opportunities for new product development, evaluate them and drive R&D projects through innovation process
- Co-creates Vertical Strategy and drives execution of Major / Key initiatives in the assigned segment of responsibility
- Develop product launch strategy, launch packages, promotional tools, marketing and training material for new and existing products to enable better conversion of opportunities
Responsibilities:
Innovation (25%):
- Ensure pipeline sufficiency by continuously identifying and evaluating opportunities for new product development from market visits, engagement with OEM's and other influencers, competition tracking
- Get market insights based on customer pain points, interaction with machinery manufacturers and influencers in assigned segments
- Support in creating NPD projects in line with the technology roadmap and opportunities in the market in the given segments
- Own NPD projects in given segments by actively driving cross functional teams to meet project milestones.
- Ensure Right First Time by defining right specification in PDAIF, constantly reviewing and updating application test methods and infrastructure
- Develop product launch strategy, launch packages, promotional tools, marketing and training material for new products to enable better conversion of opportunities
- Ensure achievement of PUL objectives by driving of test marketing trials at anchor customers and YP sales objectives by supporting teams to identify and close opportunities as per plan
Sales Management (30%):
- Actively drive MI's and KI's to achieve sales for segments under his responsibility
- Ensure achievement of margin for the segments under his responsibility by providing necessary input into the pricing policy
- Implement initiatives to gain share in low market share segments
Competition fighting (5%):
- Actively track competition activities and develop strategy to counter competition in coordination with the Chief.
- Identify opportunities for product development based on competition's product assessment
Marketing and Support Activities (20%):
- Develop promotional tools, marketing and training material to enable better conversion of opportunities
- Conducting product and application training for sales teams
- Conducting engagement programs (training, webinars etc) for Dealers / Sales teams / Customers and OEM's in collaboration with Sales Teams
- Identify and participate in relevant exhibitions and seminars
- Develop and update technical content for the website & Trade Magazines for the assigned segments
- Provide guidance in exceptional deviation to monthly sales forecasts for the responsible segments
