Job Description - Business Consultant
- Facilitate discussions with the client to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements
- Able to set appropriate expectations with stakeholders, and elaborate documentation
- Conduct Stakeholder interviews, Plan and conduct design thinking led workshops to eliciting business needs and requirements
- Define the problem concisely and hypothesize the proposed solution
- Identify stakeholders and their business needs. Work with them to understand business problems, create options, assess feasibility
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive the proposed solution
- Take responsibility to determine business requirements and digi-imagine effective business processes, through improvements in Business process, information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
- Analyse product, business, and system requirements to design the Future operations model
- Quantitative research methodologies include data mining, creating financial models and performing growth valuation analysis
- Qualitative research methodologies include performing market research and collecting business intelligence
- Consolidate the findings from the analysis and present solutions to the client
- Develop and present a plan to implement the recommended changes
- Apply critical thinking to project situation, make judgment calls to establish direction for resolution, establish the resolution plan, and present status and impacts to key project stakeholders
- Support the business development activities of the consulting business unit, such as pursuit development and production of thought papers
Role view:
- Advisor for planning, designing, implementing and supporting business transformation programs including transformation assessment, framework development & implementation, new products design, digital & sales technology tools
- Problem solver, providing solutions on specific areas of transformation initiatives, for example digital enablement, business improvement and operations infrastructure optimization
- Working together with Leadership on devising business strategies aimed at improving sales productivity, process standardization, digital tool adoption, and overall business performance improvement
- Working with team, to provide end-to-end solutions including process analysis and design, requirements planning, business case development
- Contributor to business development and thought leadership for the consulting business unit through participation in areas such as training, methodology and toolkit development
Basic Qualifications and experience
- MBA from a top institution
- 10+ years of consulting experience in a business, transformation or consulting role within Financial Services industry
Experience in one more lines of business/ functions
- Core Banking
- Data Governance
- Payments
- Lending
- Wealth Management, and
- Compliance.
- Relevant experience in digital transformation, model design and implementation, building a digital bank with new technologies and partnerships, etc; with focus in digital banking segments.
- Well-developed core consulting skills of research, analysis, presentation, and attention to detail
- Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results
- Exceptional problem-solving skills - an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of working in Agile
- Proficiency with Process modelling tools such as ARIS / Visio / Bizagi
- Lean & Six Sigma Certifications (Preferred, not mandatory)
