As Business Head for Wooden Material and Hardware you will be responsible for creating and managing mutually beneficial relationships with brands in this category, drive product selection, and assortment decisions, optimizing the product mix, drive decisions around promotions and pricing, create and launch private label program, and finally manage the inventory for the category.
You will be responsible to deliver the P&L of the category by increasing volume of sales across channels - own stores, franchise stores, e-commerce channels (own and other market places), increase margin by negotiating lowest buying pricing and improving the speed of inventory turnover
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage relationships with plywood and hardware brands, driving product selection and assortment decisions.
- Optimize product mix, promotions, pricing, and launch a private label program. Manage inventory for the category.
- Deliver P&L targets by increasing sales volume across channels and improving margin.
Requirements:
- Deep category knowledge, understanding key players, consumer insights, and pricing norms.
- Proven sales experience with clear understanding of end consumer decision-making and influencer roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail in retail processes.
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in the building material business, with at least 7 years in plywood and hardware industry.
- Experience in both plywood and hardware is advantageous.
- Regional management experience leading sales teams to achieve targets.
- Additional experience in sourcing, product marketing, design, or supply chain is a plus.
