Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the Stock Broking vertical, aligning with the overall company goals.
- Provide visionary leadership to build and lead a high-performing team.
Application Design and Development:
- Coordination & Collaboration with Design, Product and Tech team for a user-friendly and innovative trading platform/application.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-calibre team capable of delivering on business objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
Sales and Operations:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize cross-selling opportunities within our existing user base.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify potential cross-selling avenues.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Implement data-driven approaches for sales forecasting, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
- Foster a sales culture that emphasizes customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
Marketing and User Acquisition:
- Devise and execute marketing strategies to promote the trading platform and attract target users.
- Attract users from both Univest's existing platform and external ecosystems.
- Work closely with the marketing team to enhance Univest's brand presence in the stock broking industry.
- Establish partnerships and collaborations to enhance the platform's visibility and user base.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement a robust risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with trading operations.
- Monitor market conditions, geopolitical events, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust risk strategies.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that risk management practices align with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analyses to enhance the resilience of the trading platform.
Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, ensuring a clear understanding of compliance requirements.
- Implement and enforce compliance training programs for the team to stay updated on regulatory changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in Stock Broking Industry
- Proven experience as a senior-level executive in a similar role within the Stock Broking industry.
- In-depth knowledge of broking and trading operations, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of SEBI, NSE, BSE, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Stay abreast of high-frequency trading (HFT) and algorithmic trading trends.
- Provide strategic leadership to incorporate HFT and MFT technologies within the stock broking vertical.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling business operations.
