Business Head - Sales - Chemicals Manufacturing

- Responsible for business generation, revenue generation.

- Good understanding of volatile markets their dynamics.

- As a team leader, inculcate a strong inclusive bond with all stake holders.

- Identify, establish and implement successfully for organizational growth, opportunities as guided by the vision.

- Continually evolve and evaluate various strategic options (long/medium/short) and initiatives, aligning business needs accordingly.

- All strategic options / initiatives must be effectively analyzed in all aspects to ensure successful, time bound and cost effective implementation.

- To ensure profitability of the organization.

- Aligning strategies in accordance with business need, analyzing effectively the external environment on markets and commodities.

- Compliance to all government/s and internal policies / requirements.

Tactical & Operational responsibilities:

- Set and drive targets on price levels, net sales, margin contribution and market share and activities cross the organization.

- Monitor and map external factors like; macro drivers, competitor activities and global import/export affecting overall supply/demand balance.

- Lead and drive a continuous dialogue with sales to track and drive customer developments, challenges & opportunities.

- Active participation in the IBP process to sign off on the demand plans and provide a regional summary of the outlook on financial delivery.

- In conjunction with other regional BMs in the business.

Strategic development:

- Develop product strategies based on current and future market fit, competitive environment and business priorities in alignment with Strategic Markets & Innovation for strategic segments.

- Concretize and cascade product strategy execution. Set and follow up on targets and action plans to execute on strategic product ambitions.

- Participate actively in the development and implementation of sales and distribution strategy.

- Develop and optimize existing product portfolio, adhering to business sustainability goals, including SKU optimization and packaging improvements.

- Support the Strategic Markets & Innovation to launch new products from the innovation portfolio.

- Develop and build regional sales plans, activities and materials clearly defining company existing product and service offerings along with company USPs

- Broaden customer interface creating relations with existing business.

Qualification And Experience:

1. MBA in Marketing with 15-25 Years of Experience in Chemical or Specialty Chemicals Industry experience need only apply & Preferably in the Specialty/Commodity Chemicals marketplace.

2. Proven entrepreneurial/Business skills in a strategic/business unit with P&L responsibility for at least 5 years.

3. Experience in developing new customers in the Specialty Chemicals space.

4. Experience selling into different Specialty chemicals markets.

5. Good technical knowledge to understand technical issues and product range with respect to customer requirement and ability to provide them with an apt solution.

6. Ability to work with cross functional and multi-lingual teams with extensive travelling will be required.

7. Knowledge of the product line & their applications.

8. Knowledge of Customer Complaint Handling.

9. Knowledge of Competitors, their products and their strategies.

10. Knowledge of Market & Territory.

11. Knowledge of Strategy Formation and Implementation
