- Spearhead & expand the Rice & Maize business of Company, leveraging the existing network and Bulk Commodities team
- Customer Connect: Forge close connect and expand relationships with existing customers to increase volume of Rice export
- Strengthen sourcing network (brokers, rice millers) and make inroads deep into upcountry milling clusters to enable large offerings and timely execution to big customers
- Onboard new customers, explore new markets and add new grades & varieties.
- Guide a team to execute the required operations, handle issues, ensure customer acquisition and settlement of grievances.
- Explore different sourcing geographies to ensure competitive advantage in the market.
- Mapping of millers & suppliers and expand exports of rice from different ports (Kandla & Kakinada). Mobilize cargo movement and optimize export logistics for Maize & Rice.
- Ensure risk management: due diligence for new customers, market reading, diversification of source base, implementation of Company norms & contractual terms
- Leverage branch presence and ensure continuous engagement for domestic trade in Spot trade & structured format and effectively monitor & push on-ground operations
- Gauge market intelligence and understand fine grain varieties in different geographies
- Participate in rice industry forums and engage with customers, brokers, trade facilitators and export brokers
- Travel to different markets where Indian Rice is exported to understand the local demand factors and meet the key players and customers
- Build the business of a Value added Organic and Food Safe products to US & Europe Markets
