Business Head - Retail Strategy & Operations

Role Purpose:

Lead Sales and Service Business for both Principals and Own Brand, driving strategic vision, operational excellence, customer experience, and effective people leadership.

Strategy & Financial Management

Role Purpose:

- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with stakeholders and teams.Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan in line with organizational strategy.

- Manage budgets and analyze financial metrics to achieve business targets and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Business Expansion:

- Identify market opportunities for growth, including new store openings and e-commerce.

- Negotiate and manage credit terms with suppliers, balancing pricing with credit arrangements to optimize working capital.

People Leadership:

- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Operational Excellence

- Implement SOPs across stores, conduct regular reviews to maintain retail standards.

- Drive efficient inventory management to meet demand while reducing stock aging and holding costs.

Customer Experience

- Ensure customer-centric operations, setting high standards for service and convenience to enhance satisfaction.

- Leverage data-driven insights to personalize customer experiences and optimize store layout and visual merchandising.

Stakeholder Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with principals, distributors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive business goals.

Key Results:

Achieving targets in Topline & Bottomline, People Leadership, Customer Satisfaction, Operational Efficiency, and Market Expansion.

Requirements:

15+ years in retail, MBA preferred.

Proven strategic and financial management in large-scale retail (revenue over - 1000 Cr).

Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with stakeholders and teams.
