Business Head/President - Agro Chemicals

Business Head (President) Agro Chemicals :
- Formulating business strategies and strategic utilization and deployment of available resources(Sales, Supply Chain, R&D and Finance) to achieve organizational business objectives. Establishing short term/long term corporate budgets and developing business plans. Setting up zone operations with key focus on bottom line profitability by ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Conceptualizing & implementing strategy as a part of brand building and market development effort.
- Devising & effectuating competitive selling programs/strategies to improve the product awareness and enhance business.
- Implementing marketing and sales plan to ensure maximum brand visibility and capture optimum market share.
- Managing the gamut of activities including market research, product promotions, advertising and effective channel management.
- Identify, develop and commercialize new product / business opportunities within Agro intermediate segments.
- Study pipeline of products getting off-patent within Agro segment to develop mid-to-long term growth strategy for the company.
- Enhance customer satisfaction levels by driving a customer-focused culture and developing new products / applications and services in conjunction with the Head R&D and other functions like Technology and supply chain to influence the customers.
- Responsible for crop-product- geography-Marketing strategy. Aligning the organization to strategic objectives set.
- Analyzing industry, keeping close watch on emerging trends and ensuring that organization is future ready & ahead of curve.
- Work closely with Strategy team and M&A for taking new initiatives/investment.
- Exploring new avenues for growth & lead the digital initiative for organization.
- Representing company in various associations, department of Agriculture and institutes.
- Drive automation, Farmer data creation and use of farmer data for devising effective campaigns and to do direct/cross selling.
- Work closely with team to lead way for complete solution to farmer including mechanization/precision farming.
- Product portfolio management, competition analysis, market research, managing product life cycle, studying past trends, deciding right product mix, pricing etc.
Qualification & Experience :
1. 20+ years working experience in a similar or senior management position in a Agro Chemical Industry.
2. Excellent technical and domain knowledge of Agro Products, scientific principles governing chemistry of molecules etc.
3. Excellent knowledge of the Agricultural landscape in the country and in the markets of operation and applies the knowledge to strategize, plan and implement business decisions.
4. Good knowledge of Agro Products Industry, competitors in the market and applies this knowledge to drive business strategies.
5. Expert project management experience.
6. Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills to create and maintain rapport with all Stakeholders.
7. A financially savvy leader with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems.
8. Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
9. Be a results-driven individual who takes ownership of their business category.
10. Must be creative and have the ability to think outside the box.
