Role Overview:

As the Business Head of Category Management, you will be the P&L owner for your designated category, responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and market share. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall business strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of category initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- P&L Ownership: Take complete ownership of the Profit and Loss for the assigned category, developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

- Category Strategy: Formulate and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives, market trends, and customer needs.

- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor assessments, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and market trends.

- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team, including category managers, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of category plans.

- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to product development, launch, and end-of-life, ensuring a robust and competitive product portfolio.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

- Customer Experience: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance the overall customer experience, identifying and addressing customer needs through product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.

- Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the category, providing insights to drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in category management, with a proven track record of P&L ownership and business growth.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive results in a collaborative environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships internally and externally.
