Business Head - Perfumes
Designation : Business Head - Perfumes
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
- Develop comprehensive strategies to achieve business goals, encompassing market penetration, product positioning, and revenue growth.
- Oversee the execution and implementation of these strategies to drive desired outcomes.
P&L & Financials:
P&L responsibility and drive profitability through effective cost management and revenue optimization for the vertical accountability for meeting growth targets and other performance objectives & financial KPIs.
Business Expansion and Operations:
Spearhead the expansion and operational activities for the Perfume Division across India and global, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market demands.
Market Insights and Intelligence:
- Gather market intelligence, conduct data analytics, and perform competition analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and dynamics.
- Utilize insights to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Network Expansion:
- Drive the expansion of the distribution network through dealers, general trade (GT), and modern trade channels and internal sales channels.
- Develop and nurture relationships with channel partners and key customers to maximize market reach and penetration.
- Establish a robust distribution network and implement well-defined processes across business lines to ensure efficient operations and seamless supply chain management
Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain regular communication and engagement with channel partners and key customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and foster long-term partnerships.
Periodic Business Review:
Conduct regular reviews of business performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, analysing key metrics, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead a large field team across the country, providing direction, support, and guidance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Focus on capability development and talent management to enhance team performance.
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 -12 years in a leadership role & overall 15-18 years of experience within the retail or FMCG industry, with specific experience in perfume or beauty products preferred.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable initiatives.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated experience in business expansion, market development, and distribution network management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including team management, coaching, and development.
- Sound financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under pressure.
