Job Purpose :

- Develop & launch & thereby Head the entire Mobile division of the group – including all mobile sites & mobile applications.

Management level /Grade:

- M1

Reporting to :

- Deputy MD

Location :

- Bhopal [Family’s relocation to Bhopal is a must]

Age (Range) :

- 25 years+

Educational qualification :

- Graduate – with good academic credentials + MBA from IIM [preferably Ahmedabad/ Bangalore

Relevant work experience :

- 4+ years of experience in leading a mobile application revenue stream

Background industry preference - (either of the three)

1. Mobile service operators (Corporate VAS team working on 3G products development & revenue management)

2. VAS service providers who develop content & manage end customer acquisition and revenue enhancement for mobile applications.

3. IT companies which have developed mobile applications for telecom service providers or media companies

Team Size Approx : 3-4 direct reports

Key Performance Areas :

1. Development of product roadmap, product development & management

2. Launch appropriate applications & products within the time/cost parameters

3. Curate & prioritize content from our website for mobile

4. Drive (target) the download & adoption/penetration/usage of mobile sites & apps

5. Drive the revenue targets for mobile applications

6. Manage a team for Sales/Distribution (App download), Marketing/Content and Technology (Technology is outsourced, but will need a person for co-ordination between the division & the vendor)

7. Improvement of usage interface for improving customer experience

Desired Profile - Must Have

(Experience / Background)

1. Relevant work experience in Product Management i.e. a Mobile Application & Content management thereby having a good understanding of the underlying technology for development and managing mobile applications to cater to a geographically dispersed consumer segment

2. Should have driven business targets & revenues in a geographically dispersed area & teams

3. Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees

4. Ability to understand market/ consumer/ competition & translate into business & product requirements

Secondary Competencies :

1. History of leading midsized teams and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done

2. Exposure of managing consumer research to understand the consumer/audience preference in order to position the brand and develop appropriate access of content

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

Qualification

1) MBA

2) 4+yrs of relevant work exp

3) Minimum 4yrs of relevant experience in Product Management i.e. a Mobile Applications & Content management
