An ideal candidate is one with a minimum of 23 years of relevant experience in woven garments. They may currently be responsible for the P&L or are at the number two position of a large organisation.
Industry type- Manufacturers and exporters of apparel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Setting up the Business from scratch
2. Developing and executing the business unit's strategy
3. Create and manage the Business budget and resources, leading and developing staff, and building a Team
4. identifying new opportunities for growth - National and Overseas
5. Monitoring and evaluating Business performance
6. Representing the business unit in internal and external forums
7. Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and Customers
Basic Client Requirement:
- Entrepreneurial attitude and responsible for the P&L of this new business
- Relevant apparel industry experience including manufacturing/operations
- Someone who can set up a green field project of woven apparel and also scale it overtime.
- Handle Business development and sales with Client Mgmt.
- Build and lead a team of merchandisers, production and factory staff
Personal attributes:
- Pleasing and Excellent personality
- Good Communication skills
- A Business mindset to create and scale a Business
Qualifications:
- Bachelors / Post Graduate in Textiles / Apparel with a MBA in Marketing would be preferable.
- At least 20 plus years of relevant experience
