Business Head - Hotels vertical of a fast-growing travel tech company with global aspirations
Reports to: CEO - Founder
Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai
Responsibilities:
- PL Ownership: Taking full responsibility for the financial and operational performance of the Hotels Vertical, focusing on revenue growth while also ensuring efficient resource use and effective cost management to optimize both top-line and bottom-line results.
- Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team including supply, sales, marketing, product, and operations, ensuring that different functions operate as a team, rather than working as silos.
- Strategic Leadership: Crafting the strategic direction for the Hotels Vertical, aligning it with the company's overall business goals and vision.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the Hotels Vertical, regularly reporting progress to the executive team.
- Business Development: Identify new opportunities, tapping large API clients, and fostering partnerships within the hotels domain to expand market reach and increase revenue streams.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and revenue, including pricing strategies, negotiating PLBs (incentives / commissions from hotels), and tactical campaigns with supply partners.
- Leadership in Hotel Contracting: Actively guiding the hotel contracting team as a supportive leader, steering them towards meeting key growth objectives on both supply and demand fronts.
- Product Enhancement: Collaborate with the product team to continuously enhance the hotels-related offerings, by innovating and evolving the product to be best in class.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends, translating insights into actionable strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred from Top college).
- 10+ years of management experience.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, achieving revenue targets with P&L ownership.
- Expertise in data-driven decision making, encompassing advanced analytical skills, having the ability to leverage data insights for strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of OTA (Online travel agents) industry dynamics, distribution channels, and supply strategies (Good to have)
