Job Description :
Roles and Responsibilities :
Scope/ Purpose of Job :
- Set up the Fresh vertical from scratch, including setting up a farmer/ FPO ecosystem and the buyer ecosystem for successful marketplace operations
- Develop a thorough understanding of the AgriTech industry and Indian agricultural industry, build close relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, and define the business strategy for the product and service offerings under the MAARS platform.
- Validate the planed business model, develop value unlocks and establish business case for the vertical
- Drive P&L ownership and customer experience for the vertical
- Work closely with the product team to develop unrivaled on-app experience for farmers and buyers
Key Responsibilities :
- P&L accountability: Own the end-to-end design and implementation of the business plan.
- Establishment of business model and value unlocks for various crops and regional clusters in the Fresh vertical.
- Demand generation and business development: Development of buyer landscape across various channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, e-commerce, Processors, HoReCa)
- Business operations: Plan and optimize the business operations (supply chain management, wastage avoidance, value addition) to enhance value proposition to the customers.
- Customer experience: Create a customer-driven process, with best-in-class SLAs, accurate match of product quality to requirement, and creating value addition where possible
- Team Building: Building and leading a capable self-starter organization managing core operations across markets and farmer locations
Desired Candidate Profile :
Qualifications & Experience :
- Premiere MBA (or equivalent experience) with 15+ years in core fruits and vegetables business from an established F&V organization or successful start-ups
- 5+ years of experience of leading teams for multiple product lines.
- Experience across both market development and operations management
Key Individual Skills :
- High energy self-starter with passion to execute, while setting strategy with senior leadership team
- Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the thinking and progress
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages & trade-offs & tell a compelling story
- Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders strong leadership skills
- Exhibit entrepreneurial mindset.
